Pasadena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Pasadena is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Been coming here since COVID when the menu was scannable. The ramen was very good, flavorful, and the service was good usually. Usually they had two people doing the orders, but this time came in and only one. And they don't offer to give you the hot sauce unless you ask for it or even a water(crazy because every time before I went always gave us water at first), even the chopsticks seem cheaped out. Not sure if we came on a bad day or something, but the ramen was also way too salty. Saltier than I could ever remember it being, also noodles were more al dente than I remember. I barely enjoyed it. Also, it's normally fairly cold in there, so eating the ramen is nice but it was warm today (although some benefit of the doubt goes there since it was 100 degrees). Shame really, since it used to be my favorite ramen place when in Pasadena. When paying a service fee by default you should not have to ask for things to get it Not sure if the waiter was overwhelmed because it was busy, but really for how busy it was there should had been two.

Wow, the food was AMAZING!!!! John whipped me up a Large Chicken Bowl and Arden came in clutch with the attentiveness at the table. It was my first time here and I definitely felt taken care of. The hot sauce they have at the table is on another level, my lips were about to jump and and take off running but I loved how spicy it made the food! Over all 100/10 would recommend!!!

I've been waiting for a chilly day that calls for broth so today at 62Β° I decided to give it a try. Idk, each place has an essence to their broth and this one just didn't hit the palette. My dog loved it though, I had some there and the rest brought home. Thankfully there's plenty of options that are much better nearby but this place just isn't for me.. hope you have a better dining experience than I did.

Just Pasadena parking turned me off. All else wonderful. The shoyo char sui ramen was great. Got the best mirror finish at the end. The angry orange paste on the table was pretty good. Close your throat on first dip but then there is some complexity to its taste a bit later. Pricing reasonable and up front. Size medium. If someone is driving next time, definitely a good recommendation for ramen. Standard 18% up front for tips so keep that in mind. Certainly posted removable but then seemed anti-cultural from a Japanese point of view. Anyhow left it on for my small party. You have to pay the wait staff at the end. The link on the bill doesn't do jack.

Not a fan of the 18% service charge, ONLY because there’s not an easier option to remove it. There should be a button prior to paying that could easily remove the charge. Other than that, the food was amazing. The vegan ramen was so flavorful and I really enjoyed the infused water.
